COVID-19 & Visitation Update
Visitation is Available PHASE 2
The Illinois Department of Public Health (“IDPH”) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) have recently released guidance for Skilled Nursing Facilities and Other Long-Term Care Facilities to follow, regarding COVID-19 and re-introducing group activities and visitation. Under this new guidance there are three different “Phases” that a Skilled Nursing Facility or Other Long-Term Care Facility can be categorized as. Each Phase has its own set of recommendations and stringencies regarding group activities and visitation, depending on the status of the facility and its community.
Warren Barr North Shore is currently in Phase 1 of IDPH’s Reopening Plan for Skilled Nursing Facilities and Other Long-Term Care Facilities. Although outdoor visitation is strongly encouraged by IDPH and CMS, indoor visitation may be available subject to IDPH’s and CMS’ guidelines and regulations, which may change from time to time. Additionally, group dining and group activities at our facility may be expanded and salon services may be offered. For further details, please feel free to reach out to the facility at 847-266-9266.
Please note, the Phase-level and visitation availability are subject to change based on a variety of factors, including possible new guidance and recommendations. In the event of a change in Phase or visitation availability, we will update accordingly.
